Aim of Programme


The programme will introduce students to the study of the law of contract by providing them with a knowledge and appreciation of both the major legal and key concepts. It will provide students with a critical understanding of the legal principles as applied by Courts and Statutory Law to various Contracts/Agreements.

The programme will also introduce students to the practical framework and legal principles of employment law in Ireland and to enable students develop legal skills such as research analysis critical evaluation through the application of their knowledge of employment law to authentic legal tasks.

Mature applicants (i.e over 23 years)
or
Leaving Certificate – Grade H5 at higher level in two subjects, plus Grade O6 at ordinary level in four other subjects in the Leaving Certificate. Two of these subjects must be Mathematics and a language (English or Irish)
or
QQI Level 5-Full award with a minimum of eight modules. Distinctions required in three modules
or
Recognition of Prior Learning (APL/APEL).

Registered students will meet their lecturers and become acquainted with AIT operating systems, such as our online delivery platform, Moodle, Rules and Regulations etc.

Tuesday and Thursday evenings online from 7.00 pm – 10.00 pm

For online programmes, lectures will be delivered online and recordings of lectures will be available to view in the student’s own time.

Programme Fee

This is a Government of Ireland, July Stimulus Modular Provision Funded Programme.

This programme will be fully funded for eligible unemployed applicants.

Eligible employed applicants will be 90% funded.  They will have to pay 10% directly to AIT.  The 10% payable is €275

Note – eligibility criteria for this funding is the same as Springboard+ funding eligibility.
