Aim of Programme


This programme is aimed at industrial maintenance personnel who are working or unemployed who want to up skill in this rapidly changing technology.

Robotics & Industrial Automation are utilised heavily in many diverse sectors such as the Medical Device, Packaging, Aerospace, Food and Automotive industries. This Robotics & Industrial Automation programme will give a range of technical knowledge and skills to underpin the advanced industrial automation currently in use in the Irish Manufacturing Sector. Fundamental engineering, mechatronics and programming skills will be developed over the duration of the programme, in addition to the skills necessary to contribute to design. assemble, programme, install, test, commission and validate new robotic and industrial automation cells.

An Electrical or Mechanical National Craft Certificate.

RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) in Industrial Engineering will also be considered.

AIT Induction Sessions will take place on Saturday 15th January 2022.

All registered students must attend one session, and you will be advised of your session when your application is processed. This is a face to face induction, where registered students will meet their lecturers and become acquainted with AIT operating systems, such as our online delivery platform, Moodle, Rules and Regulations etc.

All current regulations and public health guidelines in relation to social distancing will be in place at these sessions.
