Aim of Programme


Developed in association with industry leaders, this specialist course promotes critical awareness of the most recent advances in the field of Quality and Lean Management. It is designed to apply across all industries however in recent times companies in the Med-Technology and BioPharma industries have been to the forefront in seeking this qualification, with their demonstrated objective to reskill or upskill existing employees to take up roles in the area quality and lean management. It is also suitable for unemployed persons that meet the entry requirements.

On successful completion of this programme, the learner will have detailed knowledge of:

  • Quality management frameworks and standards
  • The interpretation of regulations, standards and compliance for the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, medical device sectors and other regulated industries.
  • The role of quality managers and quality supervisors in promoting and managing quality within an organisation.
  • Specific statistical process control and digital statistic tools that are used to identify quality issues.
  • Calibration systems and preventative maintenance.
  • Reliability Engineering and Risk Management

Applicants who have completed the Bachelor of Science in Quality and Lean Management, AIT, Level 7.

Those who hold qualifications with similar content, at Level 7, 180 ECTS may apply for consideration.

Induction


AIT Induction Sessions will take place on Friday 18th September 2020 6.00pm to 9.00pm, Saturday 19th September 2020, 9.30am to 12.30pm and 2.00pm to 5.00pm.

All registered students must attend one session, and you will be advised of your session when your application is processed. This is a face to face induction, where registered students will meet their lecturers and become acquainted with AIT operating systems, such as our online delivery platform, Moodle, Rules and Regulations etc.

All current regulations and public health guidelines in relation to social distancing will be in place at these sessions.
