Aim of Programme

The overall aim of the programme is to develop a high level of technical capability in the areas of robotic control and networking. The massive connectivity achieved by the adaption of robotics and Internet of Things (IoT) technology has created significant technological opportunity.

Using real world Problem Based Learning (PBL) approaches the programme will develop learner skills using the resources of the SFI Confirm Center for Smart Manufacturing which is located at AIT.

This programme brings together the technology strands required to develop embedded autonomous systems. Modules in Integrated Automation and Connected Devices will provide students with the hands on experience of developing solutions deployed on physical robotic and autonomous devices. Leading edge research in the areas of virtual and augmented reality will be applied in the module Augmented Robotic Interaction.
