Aim of Programme


The programme will introduce students to the study of the law of contract by providing them with a knowledge and appreciation of both the major legal and key concepts. It will provide students with a critical understanding of the legal principles as applied by Courts and Statutory Law to various Contracts/Agreements.

The programme will also introduce students to the practical framework and legal principles of employment law in Ireland and to enable students develop legal skills such as research analysis critical evaluation through the application of their knowledge of employment law to authentic legal tasks.

Mature applicants (i.e over 23 years)

or

Leaving Certificate Grade O6 at ordinary level in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate. Two of these subjects must be Mathematics and a language (English or Irish)

or

QQI Level 5 Full award with a minimum of eight modules. or Recognition of Prior Learning (APL/APEL)

Online Induction will take place on Saturday 30th January 2021.  Time to be confirmed.

Registered students will meet their lecturers and become acquainted with AIT operating systems, such as our online delivery platform, Moodle, Rules and Regulations etc.

Tuesday & Thursday Evenings from 6:30pm to 9.30pm.

Programme Fee

This is a July Stimulus Funded Modular Skills Programme.  The eligible cohorts are as follows and the funding amount.

  • Returners – 100% Funded
  • Employed – 90% Funded
  • Formerly Self Employed – 100% Funded
  • Unemployed and in receipt of an eligible DEASP Payment – 100% Funded

Eligible employed applicants who are 90% funded must pay the balance of 10% directly to AIT.  The 10% fee for this programme is €247.
